Ashe County Cheese Factory
The Ashe County Cheese Factory is always a great place to stop by and
visit, and those who can’t get enough cheese keep
coming back for more. The factory was founded in 1930 and today features a viewing room, as well as a cheese store and gift shop. The viewing room is open year round from 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Saturday at no charge. You can contact the factory directly for a weekly cheese making schedule, as it does change each week. Typically cheese is made 4-5 days a week and almost every Monday, Tuesday and Saturday.
Shoppers and cheese lovers alike will enjoy checking out the cheese store and gift shop. Cheese isn’t the only thing for sale here, as the store also sells souvenirs and knick knacks, as well as the delicious cheeses, curds and country butters the company is known for. Home to over 50 varieties of cheese, the Ashe County Cheese Factory is simply one of the best Ashe County attractions to visit.
